About Business Pluspoint
Business Pluspoint is owned and run by Gillian Steedman. Gillian has over 25 years' experience in a variety of organisations including five years with mail order giant J D Williams in their marketing department and over eight years with international charity The Leprosy Mission as their trading division's marketing and merchandising manager.
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Gillian has several years' product management including sourcing, purchasing and stock controlling gifts, books and souvenirs as well as commissioning greeting card design and print. Gillian also has print sourcing and management experience in digital, litho and web off-set printing extending from small quantities of leaflets to large catalogue print runs.
IN SUMMARY
An exceptionally organised individual, Gillian likes nothing better than helping others; quite willing to pass on her skills for the benefit of others, rather than keeping the tricks of the trade all to herself.
Gillian is based in Reading, West Berkshire, having moved there following marriage to her husband Ian in 2004.
DESIGN, IT and TRAINING SKILLS
Gillian has a portfolio of magazine, leaflet, advertising and website design .
She also has in-depth knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook), database applications (both DOS and Windows based) and website content management.
With this experience is a skill for writing how-to guides and tutorials.
BOOK-KEEPING AND ACCOUNTS
Gillian has achieved First Class Passes in Levels 1 and 2 of the City & Guilds Book-keeping & Accounts certificate and Level 1 Computerised Accounts. In September 2008 she bagan study for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Advanced Level Certificate.
